About yoga For Humanity

Yoga for Humanity creates content and experiences that bring together yoga, mindfulness, and sustainability. We believe that yoga isn't just something you do on your mat - it's a way of life. Our approach to wellness considers personal, social, and environmental well-being.

We hope to inspire and activate you to live your yoga. Here you'll find content in our Journal that explores the intersection of personal and environmental sustainability. You'll also discover local events that bring our community together. Share your support of our mission by shopping our YFH apparel - for every shirt you buy, we'll plant a tree.

A letter from Victoria Marzilli, founder of Yoga for Humanity

Victoria at the Yoga for Humanity booth - Wild Vibes Fest 2018

If you're anything like me, you love yoga and the way it makes you feel physically, mentally, and spiritually. You're always in the midst of planning your next adventure. You love finding ways to nourish your body and your planet, and you thrive from connecting to new cultures and giving back. You believe in doing good - and having fun while you're at it.

That's why I created Yoga for Humanity, a movement that activates the yoga community for sustainability and global development. I wanted to create a space to share ideas from thought leaders at the intersection of yoga, mindful living, sustainability, and environmental conservation.

The way I see it, the practice and principles of yoga are a clear set of guidelines for how to lead a sustainable lifestyle in the modern age. The awareness we cultivate on the yoga mat inevitably leads us to make more mindful choices in our daily lives. Feeling our own energy helps us connect with the energy of other people - regardless of race, nationality, gender, or religion. Whether we're buying locally-sourced or fair trade food, or donating to effective nonprofit organizations, we can take our yoga practice into our daily lives to ensure that our choices and habits positively impact the planet and it's most vulnerable people.

My mission is to help you live your yoga:

Thanks for being a part of the tribe.

Namaste,

Victoria
